The City is seeking proposals from individuals, groups, businesses and organizations interested in leasing the Thomas R. Potocki Conference Center at 27301 La Paz Road, east of Marguerite Parkway.
The City-owned conference center is 5,000 square feet and includes a lobby/reception area; four meeting rooms; restrooms; a kitchen; storage closets; and a landscaped patio in a park/sports field setting. The facility was built in 1993 as a training center for the United States Men’s National Soccer Team in preparation for the 1994 World Cup Soccer competition. The City remodeled it 8 years later and dedicated it as a conference facility designed to offer individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations and public agencies a venue to hold meetings, conferences, retreats, seminars and social events.
The successful proposal is subject to City Council approval, which is expected sometime in May – with the lease commencing July 1.
Parties interested in leasing the facility will have the opportunity to inspect the center beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2.
Proposals are due by 1:00 p.m. March 23 to M. Kelly Doyle, Director of the Recreation & Community Services Department at the City of Mission Viejo, 200 Civic Center, Mission Viejo, 92691.
