Someone once said that the heart of a volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.
Indeed, that statement is true and was echoed this past weekend by a Mission Viejo Boy Scout who worked on an environmentally friendly project to earn his Eagle Scout rank – the highest ranking by the Boy Scouts of America.
Tony Duggin of Troop 787 organized about 30 dedicated volunteers for a landscaping project at Linda Vista Park located at 26601 Pepita Drive. The young men spent the day beautifying the slope by planting about 800 1-gallon plants.
