Police are seeking two armed men who robbed a jewelry store and sent the owner to the hospital after beating him with a handgun.
The robbery happened around 1 p.m. at Rita’s Jewelry store located at 24551 Alicia Parkway.
The suspects, described as male blacks in their 20s or 30s, walked into the store armed with handguns and struck the store owner and his wife in the face. The men then took an unknown amount of jewelry and fled from the store in a beige-colored Jaguar or Town car.
Witnesses said one suspect is a large heavy set man while the other is smaller in frame.
The owner was taken to Mission Hospital for treatment of facial wounds.
