Members of the Tesoro High School Boys & Girls Lacrosse teams are looking ahead to the 2011 holiday season after enjoying giving back to those in need last month.
During the recent holiday break, the Lacrosse teams volunteered at the Salvation Army’s Christmas Warehouse in Anaheim. Some players boxed up hams, potatoes, bread, and other items for Christmas dinners that were distributed to needy families. Other players had fun packing big red bags with toys and clothing for families that would have otherwise spent the holidays without any gifts to open. And yet all of the players relished in the chance to help and the Salvation Army’s spirit of giving – not just during the holidays but year-round.
School officials say the teams look forward to lending their helping hands again to those in need this year.
