Dedicated Animal Welfare Group, the nonprofit fund-raising arm of the pro-humane Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, is offering the public an opportunity through Jan. 31 to directly save the life of a dog. For every four people who become members of DAWG at $25 each, DAWG will match that $100 and will rescue a dog from an overcrowded shelter.
“This membership makes a great gift and for every four gift memberships that people purchase, another dog is saved,” said Brynn Lavison, Animal Services Supervisor.
The gift recipient will receive a special card letting them know who gave the gift of membership to DAWG. They will also receive four full color issues of the DAWGBytes newsletter, which provides updates throughout the year about the pets that their membership helps save.
“Does anyone really need another pair of pajamas or box of chocolates? Probably not,” Lavison said. “So make your gifts count this holiday season by giving memberships and saving lives!”

This should have been sent out weeks ago. Unfortunately, at this late date, gifts have been purchased, etc., etc.
Would have been a great idea…EARLIER!!
I’m going to ask three friends to each put in $25 so we can save the life of a wonderful dog at the shelter. I noticed that the promotion runs until January 31, so there’s still lots of time to make a difference for one innocent animal.
i am happily making a donation to a wonderful cause that is close to my dear friend’s heart…brynn, this is for you and all you do for your four legged friends…love you!
Sure wish I had 100 billion dollars to save these unfortnate creatures. The pet overpopulation problem breaks my heart. There must be a better way to live with our 4 legged friends. What is it?
