The Mission Viejo Marines and Sailors Adoption Committee has launched its annual Holiday Toy Drive to benefit the children of the Marines and Sailors of Headquarters Battalion at Camp Pendleton.
The public can support Mission Viejo’s adopted troops by dropping of an unwrapped toy in specifically marked boxes at City Hall, 200 Civic Center; the library, 100 Civic Center; and at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way. Donations can also be dropped off at the Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center, 26887 Recodo Lane, and at Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center, 25800 Montanoso Drive.
The public can also embrace the spirit of giving during the holidays by donating toys for the Marines during “Santa’s Arrival and Celebration” on Sunday, November 28. The festivities take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center. Information is available at www.mvactivities.com.
The toys will be delivered to the troops for their children’s holiday party on Wednesday, December 15.
