Gently used and new children’s and youth books along with gift wrapping are sought by a group of Mission Viejo High School seniors to benefit needy children during the holidays.
The students have embraced The Camarda Bookcase, a local non-profit organization that promotes literacy by collecting, gift wrapping and distributing new and gently used books to underprivileged children.
Konrie and Torra Ming, Julie Amundsen, Liz Higham, Abbie Coe and Sara Hadaddin are on a mission to support the organization and help disadvantaged youth in the area during the holidays by collecting 500 books or more by December 10.
Donations can be dropped off to the Guidance Office at the high school, which is located at 25025 Chrisanta Drive. People with 20 or more books can schedule a pickup.
For more information or to schedule a pickup, call Konrie Ming at 949-855-4481. Information about The Camarda Bookcase is available at www.camardabookcase.com.
