The public is invited to enjoy the endearing story of “Anne of Green Gables” on November 21 at City Hall as part of the free movie series sponsored by the City’s Community of Character Committee.
Spirited orphan Anne Shirley displays “thankfulness” for family and friends amidst the spectacular scenery of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The film, based on a novel that sold more than 50 million copies, is appropriate for viewers age 7 and over. Guests will also receive unique laminated placemats designed by Mission Viejo students, just in time for Thanksgiving.
Character educator Elaine Portnoy will lead a brief discussion following the film that takes place in theater-style seating, large screen and surround-sound in the Mission Viejo Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
