The City Council is seeking applications from residents interested in filling vacancies on the City’s Planning and Transportation, Community Services and Investment Advisory Commissions.
The commissions act as advisory panels to the City Council, which will appoint members to the 2-year posts on January 3.
The Planning and Transportation Commission and Investment Advisory Commission consist of five members, while seven members – including two seniors – make up the Community Services Commission.
Residents interested in applying for the commissions are encouraged to file a brief application form with the City Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. Friday, December 17.
Applicants must be registered voters and reside in Mission Viejo.
Residents interested in serving on the Investment Advisory Commission should have the following qualifications: (1) banker, vice-president level or above; (2) investment banker, vice-president level or above; (3) financial planner; (4) corporate chief financial officer or treasurer; (5) registered investment adviser; or other associated qualifications.

The Planning and Transportation Commission meets the second and fourth Monday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Community Services Commission meets the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m.
