Capistrano Valley High School is a front runner to win a $50,000 grant in the Clorox “Power a Bright Future” contest, thanks to a parent whose nomination and push for online votes landed the school in first place by about 400 votes. This is the second time the school has been a finalist in a national contest – as last year it won an electronics prize package from Samsung worth $210,000.
Parent Wendy Harder once again submitted the entry form for the contest that runs through November 1.
During the voting phase, which began early this month, the finalists’ submissions are posted in an online gallery for public voting at http://tinyurl.com/2as5wzz. That is the Capo entry page where people can register and vote for the school program that they believe will make the biggest difference at a school. Each participant can vote one (1) time per day during the voting phase.
