The public is invited to help benefit the Capistrano Valley High School Girls Basketball program by purchasing firewood on Sunday, Oct. 17.
The firewood sale is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind the DoubleTree Hotel near the Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point. There will be signs and volunteers directing people to the exact location on the day of the sale.
Residents can obtain first-of-the-season premium firewood loaded into their vehicles to benefit a good cause. Modern Tree Service is donating the firewood, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Girls Basketball program, which is led by Coach Cory Clarke.
