Dr. Daniel G. Amen, M.D., the nationally recognized expert on the relationship between the brain and behavior, will appear at the Friends Present Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival on Saturday, September 25.

Dr. Amen speaks around the country and can be seen on PBS television.

The City’s second annual festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library.

Visitors will enjoy food vendors, entertainment and merchandise booths. More than 30 bestselling authors and illustrators will be featured throughout the day and readers can purchase signed copies of the authors’ books at the Whale of a Tale Children’s Book Shoppe booth and at the booth operated by Book Events and Authors Unlimited.

Festival patrons are encouraged to bring a canned or non-perishable food item for the South County Outreach Food Pantry.

For more information about the festival and featured authors, visit www.mvreadersfestival.org.
