Fans of the charming children’s book character Fancy Nancy are in for a treat when Robin Glasser, the character’s creator, appears at the Friends Present Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival on Sept. 25.
This free event, geared toward book aficionados of all ages, is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., along the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way. Last year’s inaugural event attracted more than 5,000 people for a fun-filled, memorable day.
Glasser will discuss her beloved character and share her latest book – “Fancy Nancy, Poet Extraordinaire!” – with kids and adults alike. Signed copies of her books will be available for sale by the Whale of a Tale Children’s Book Shoppe.
This free festival is sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library. Free shuttle service will be available from the Mission Viejo Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival will also feature food vendors, entertainment and more than 40 merchandise vendors. Visitors are invited to bring a canned or non-perishable food item for the South County Outreach Food Pantry.
