A group of local children who call themselves “It’s Not All About Me” raised more than $340 to benefit the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center on Hillcrest.
This is the second year the kids – Brogan Dooley, Parker Dooley, Samantha Morgan, Jack Morgan, McKenzie Wilson, Sandi Wright, Cassia Efthymiou, and Andy Efthymiou – organized a bake sale and fundraising drive to benefit local homeless animals. This week, they presented the fruits of their labor to the center, which gave the group a behind-the-scenes tour and certificates declaring them as “Kind Kids.”
“Each child should be extremely proud of the difference they are making in their community,” said Gail DeYoung, animal services manager. “The Mission Viejo Animals Services Center staff and volunteers extend a heartfelt thank you to each of these young philanthropists, and we look forward to seeing the results of their efforts for years to come.”
