As City Hall prepares for Labor Day, the public is encouraged to be aware of facility operating hours.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6 and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 7. The City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police, fire and other essential emergency City services will not be impacted by the closure, but the public should be aware of the following:

Mission Viejo Animal Services Center: The Animal Services Center will be closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day. Minimal staff will be available for emergencies only. The center will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday.

Mission Viejo Library: The library at 100 Civic Center will be closed in recognition of Labor Day on Sunday and Monday. Patrons can return their library materials on those days and can visit the library’s web site at www.cmvl.org to renew items, place holds, and use resource databases. The library opens at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Community Center: The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center at 24932 Veterans Way will be open this weekend but closed in honor of the holiday on Monday.

Recreation and Tennis Centers: Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center at 25800 Montanoso Drive will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday.

Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center at 26887 Recodo Lane will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

Marguerite Tennis Center at 23840 Marguerite Parkway will be open from 6:30 a.m. to noon Monday.

Felipe Tennis Center at 27161 Nogal will be closed for the holiday on Monday.
