The City’s Marines & Sailors Adoption Committee raised nearly $3,000 during a car wash event on Saturday.
The Aug. 28 netted $2,700 to support the City’s adopted Marines and Sailors. Several Marines and Sailors washed cars at the Mission Viejo Civic Center and chatted with residents who were only too happy to gobble up pancakes and bacon in the morning and burgers and hotdogs in the afternoon served up by the Mission Viejo Activities Committee.
Proceeds will help offset the cost of entry-level Marines and Sailors attending the annual Marine Corps Ball in November.
