The City is continuing work on its road resurfacing project, which is designed to improve and extend the life of Mission Viejo streets.
The first coat of striping was completed earlier this week on Marguerite Parkway between Crown Valley Parkway and Avery Parkway, with additional work continuing next week and the finishing touches scheduled for mid-September.
A stretch of La Paz Road between Pradera and Marguerite was re-paved today, with the remaining section between Chrisanta and Pradera scheduled for Monday. The re-paving of Marguerite Parkway between Via Angelina and Trabuco Road will begin Tuesday with completion by Labor Day weekend. Work on La Paz Road and Marguerite Parkway between La Paz and Trabuco will take place during the day since those areas are residential, and crews will work on Marguerite Parkway between La Paz and Via Angelina at night to minimize traffic impacts.
The residential Resurfacing Project is also underway with 35 streets re-paved so far. Ultimately, more than 150 streets will be resurfaced mainly in the area north of Alicia and Trabuco and west of Marguerite. The resurfacing will improve the streets and neighborhood aesthetics.
The City continues to update its “Project Alert” link at www.cityofmissionviejo.org with project and traffic information and construction schedules.
