In an effort to keep the public apprised of ongoing road construction designed to improve and extend the life of Mission Viejo streets, the City has created a special link on its website.
The “Project Alert” link, which is available at www.cityofmissionviejo.org, features updated information and schedules about ongoing projects to help motorists avoid temporary traffic delays and better plan their routes.
The link features information about street and median rehabilitation projects underway on La Paz Road between Chrisanta and Marguerite, Marguerite Parkway between Trabuco and Via Angelina, and Marguerite Parkway between Avery and Crown Valley. When completed, these projects will improve Mission Viejo streets, and all possible steps – such as night work – are being taken to minimize any disruption to the community.
Motorists should also be aware of concrete removal and replacement work that started this week in preparation for asphalt overlays, which will be finished before the Labor Day Weekend.
Asphalt paving work on Marguerite Parkway between Avery Parkway and Crown Valley Parkway as well as Marguerite Parkway between La Paz Road and Via Angelina will take place at night in order to minimize disruptions to businesses. Work on La Paz Road between Chrisanta Drive and Marguerite Parkway as well as Marguerite Parkway between Trabuco Road and La Paz Road will take place during the day to lessen the impact to nearby residents. However, the work will be done outside of peak morning and evening commute hours.
For more information and to see the detailed work schedule, visit www.cityofmissionviejo.org and click on the “Project Alert” icon. Please remember to slow down in work areas.
