Fitness enthusiasts and novices alike are invited to use and enjoy the new outdoor fitness equipment the City of Mission Viejo just installed at Oso Viejo Park.
The equipment was installed after Anna Boyce and several other residents requested such a benefit for the public to enjoy for years to come. After much public input, the City’s Community Services Commission recommended the equipment to the City Council, which approved the project earlier this year.
The equipment is nestled at the north end of the Village Green near the Upper Oso Creek Trail. Overlooking the trail, the 12-piece circuit includes a range of equipment that, when combined with the demands of the Oso Creek trail system, provides a full body workout for users.
The outdoor system can work the upper, lower and core sections of the body. It uses a person’s body weight as resistance and can be used by all ages. People will find instructions for proper use on each piece of equipment along with information about which muscle groups are being exercised.

Thank you Anna T. Boyce for being persistent and following through on this project!
There is a proverb,”All Work and No Play Makes Jack a Dull Boy”.We must have analysed by ourselves that continuous work after a period of time makes it really difficult and irritating. In fact , we start getting frustrated of our work.So everybody must try to find some leisure time for themselves,so that they can enjoy the work they are indulged in.
There is one problem, no shade. You can only use the equipment early morning or late afternoon / evening; unless you don’t have a problem roasting while exercising.
Some type of covering would be nice.
