The Pacific Symphony Orchestra led by Musical Director Carl St. Clair returns to Mission Viejo on Saturday, July 31 in the City’s fun-filled summer ritual that caters to all ages.
The free event takes place along the Village Green at Oso Viejo Community Park, 24932 Veterans Way.
Make plans to arrive at 4:00 p.m. for the “Prelude in the Park” featuring summer beach fun events including ’60s music performed by the Vince, Bob and Buddy Band; an art show and demonstrations; and giant Legos for the kids. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from TK Burgers, Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, Bagels & Brew, and Sno on the Go.
The Mission Viejo Activities Committee will sell gooey s’mores, and beer and wine will be available from local service clubs including Mission Viejo-based Kiwanis and Rotary clubs.
Children are invited to participate in hands-on activities in the Musical Playground from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Pacific Symphony takes center stage at 7:00 p.m. delighting the masses with “An Evening of Song and Dance.”
Visitors to the popular outdoor event are encouraged to bring a canned or non-perishable food item to benefit the South County Outreach Food Pantry.
Free shuttle service will be available from the Mission Viejo Civic Center from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Symphony in the Cities program is sponsored by Target.
