The public is invited to enjoy two summer evening concerts that feature a singer-songwriter who’s written hits for The Eagles and a guitarist whose played with John Denver.
Lord of the Strings presents Jack Tempchin on Saturday, July 24. Tempchin is best-known for writing the Eagles classic “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and co-writing their hits “Already Gone,” “The Girl From Yesterday,” and “It’s Your World Now.”
He also co-wrote with Glenn Frey producing “You Belong To The City,” and “Smuggler’s Blues.”
On Saturday, Aug. 7, renowned guitarist Pete Huttlinger appears in the Lord of the Strings program, which is sure to delight music lovers of all ages. The talented performer has played with country star LeAnn Rimes and the Houston and San Diego symphonies.
Both performances are at 7 p.m. in Council Chamber at City Hall, 200 Civic Center. Tickets for the July 24 show are $20. The Aug. 7 performance is $25. Tickets are available at the door. For more information, call 842-2227.
