The “Avoid the 12” DUI Task Force will conduct DUI roving patrols tonight in Mission Viejo, Lake Forest and Rancho Santa Margarita. These Multi-City DUI teams will target areas that have a high incidence of DUI-related arrests and collisions.
The program’s goal is to reduce the rate at which county residents are killed or injured in DUI-related collisions. Through implementation of such patrols, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department hopes to significantly reduce deaths, injuries and property damage in the communities it serves.
Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

That is great.
Now can we stop the speed traps at 6:30 am? I know the cities need money, but nailing people on the way to work, we have enough worries about losing our jobs, etc. In my 3 years driving down Alicia in the morning I have not seen a prevalence of speeding at that time in the morning.
