On Monday, Steve Lemler from the non-profit 2-1-1 Orange County gave the City Council a presentation about the service that offers human service information and referrals using an easy 3-digit number available 24/7 in more than 150 languages.
2-1-1 Orange County provides a comprehensive information and referral system that is a single point of referral to more than 1,500 member agencies and 4,500 programs in the county. Callers seeking assistance dial the toll-free number and are connected with information and referral specialists who use a robust database to provide information on services such as food, shelter, prenatal care, workforce development, government assistance programs, access to health insurance programs, urgent care, prevention and safety services, child development, disaster response and more.
