Mission Viejo is gearing up for Bunny Days, a spectacular community event that attracts thousands of visitors to Oso Viejo Park for a fun-filled day of carnival game booths, spring crafts, face painting, pony rides and much more.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 3 at 24932 Veterans Way.
Visitors to this spring-time carnival will enjoy pony and hay rides and family games including three-legged races, potato-sack races and an egg toss.
Instead of egg hunts, Bunny Days will feature egg and candy treat stations for children 5 years old and over as well as a new “Toddler Town” activity area for 2 to 4 year olds and special-needs participants. The area will feature age-appropriate “move-to-music” activities, crafts, games and treat stations along with costumed characters roaming around.
The event, which is sponsored by the City and conducted by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District’s Recreation and Community Services Department, will feature live entertainment and refreshments. Food from Bagels & Brew, Maui Ice, Kettlemasters Kettlekorn, Dandy Cotton Candy, and fresh-baked treats from local seniors will be available for purchase.

Our family will miss the egg hunt. We are long time residents of Mission Viejo and have always looked forward to the egg hunt each year. It has always been well run, and very enjoyable! The only exception was adding the “golden egg”, that was a mistake for obvious reasons. Other than that, it was something our kids had always looked forward to. Our boys (15 & 10 yr.) were fortunate to have had the experience, unfortunately our 2 yr. old will not be able to have the same joyful experience. So sad. I hope you will decide to bring back this event in the future.
