The second annual Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival returns on Saturday, Sept. 25 with a collection of best-selling authors and notable personalities including Laura Ling and her TV journalist sister, Lisa.
So far, the City has lined up well-known writers such as Jefferson Parker; Earlene Fowler; Ron Carlson; Kwei Quartey; Adeline Mah; Carolyn Hennesy; and Nancy T. Wall for the popular festival.
Lisa Ling is known for her travel commentary on the National Geographic Channel and her sister, Laura, is the co-author of the soon-to-be-released “Somewhere Inside.” The story chronicles her harrowing captivity in and release from North Korea. T. Jefferson Parker is a Southern California legend and well-known author of the best-selling “Iron River” book. Mystery writers Earlene Fowler and Kwei Quartey will also bring books to life at the festival, along with Ron Carlson, a well-known fiction writer. Teens will enjoy author and “Cougar Town” star Carolyn Hennesy. Carolyn authored the “Pandora” series. Young readers will enjoy hearing Adeline Mah, author of “Falling Leaves” and “Chinese Cinderella.”
