According to a report out today, the Microsoft Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo is the title sponsor of Mission Hospital’s 14th Annual Valiant Women Luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel.
The March 12 luncheon, which is expected to attract 500 guests to the Dana Point-based hotel, serves as a fundraiser for women’s services at the hospital. Valiant Women is a group of community members that supports Mission Hospital and is dedicated to meeting the medical, surgical, educational and spiritual needs of all women. The event last year raised nearly $115,000 in net proceeds for Mission Women’s Wellness Center, Mission Maternity Center and nursing scholarships, reports say.
The Microsoft Store donated the “Technology Makeover” package for the event’s silent auction. It’s worth 2,900 and includes a 15-inch Ultra Light Laptop, companion Netbook and an HP 20-inch widescreen LCD flat-panel high-definition monitor.
Guests to the luncheon will also see a runway fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from retailers at The Shops at Mission Viejo, modeled by Mission Hospital nurses, affiliated physicians and hospital President and CEO Peter F. Bastone.
The cost to attend is $100 per person or $1,000 for a table of 10.
