Saladworks, the nation’s first and largest fresh-tossed salad franchise concept, could be coming to Mission Viejo.
According to a news release, Saladworks has signed an agreement with a multi-unit developer for eight restaurant locations in Orange County. Mission Viejo is one of the cities under consideration for a Saladworks; although, a potential location is unknown.
Founded in Southern New Jersey by John Scardapane in 1986, Saladworks offers fresh, made-to-order, entrée-sized salads and signature soups as an alternative food offering for consumers on the go. The first Saladworks opened in a mall food court and quickly became the highest grossing restaurant concept, according to the release. Today, Saladworks operates more than 100 franchise locations in 11 states. In addition to its existing stores, the chain currently has more than 60 units in development across the country.
Saladworks locations offer a fresh menu of flavorful salads with signature dressings, proprietary soups and Focaccia Fusion sandwiches. Saladworks was voted the nation’s number one salad franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine for 2009 and 2010.

Sounds good! Please keep us up to date on when and where. Thanks!
