Jon Keim began collecting Corvettes in 1983 after being given a small Corvette flower vase for his birthday. His addiction to the venerated muscle car sparked from the 1960s TV show, “Route 66.”
Fast forward several years and Keim has collected more than 500 small-scale Corvettes, which are on display at the City’s Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center through March 15.
“The only real Corvette I ever owned was a new 1971 T-top,” he said. “I traded in my 1967 Firebird 400 convertible and bought the Corvette for $5,650. To this day, it was the most fun and exciting car I have ever driven.”
Keim’s collection has been shown at fairs and libraries throughout Orange County.
The community center is at 24932 Veterans Way. For more information, call 949-470-3062.
