These days Mission Viejo Library Reference Desk personnel are busy fielding questions about how patrons can download eBooks onto their Sony eBook Readers. This influx in inquiries follows a report by Amazon.com that the company sold more eBooks than hard-cover books this past Christmas.
Thanks to a donation of a Sony eBook Reader from the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, librarians can help patrons learn how to download books from the library’s free eBook collection, which includes more than 500 titles. Patrons can browse the library’s online catalog at www.cmvl.org to find copies of eBooks.
Downloading eBooks is free, but a free Mission Viejo Library card is required.
For more information, e-mail libreference@cityofmissionviejo.org or contact the library’s Reference Desk at 949-830-7100, extension 5105.
