The public is invited to take part in two popular workshops designed to help people craft effective resumes and master the art of interviewing.
The “Resume” workshop takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the Saddleback Room at City Hall, 200 Civic Center.
The workshop will help attendees craft professional resumes that are bound to get an employer’s attention. Discussion will focus on what employers seek in resumes and what to include and leave out.
After polishing off your resume, be sure to attend the “Interviewing” workshop on Feb. 10.
The workshop, which also takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at City Hall, will cover what to expect in an interview, how to prepare for an interview and handle difficult questions.
Gretchen Thompson, author of job-search articles for the Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Working Woman will the lead the workshops. Her writing and producing efforts in the “How to Find a Job” series were featured on TV.
The free February workshops are sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo.
