Fire Captain Jack Perisho of the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) has been named Mission Viejo’s top OCFA Employee of the Year.
Perisho, who has been serving Mission Viejo for more than 2 years, is known for his leadership skills, dedication, perseverance and creativity.
At Fire Station 9, Perisho plans and supervises the activities of firefighting personnel for response duties and participates in training, prevention and company inspection procedures.
He has also been heavily involved in all aspects of Urban Search and Rescue Training and was responsible for getting his entire crew certified.
Along with an outstanding work ethic, Perisho makes community involvement a priority. This year, he served as a team leader in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event in town. His efforts earned him an “Awesome Award.”
Perisho will be honored with other “Employee of the Year” recipients at the City Council’s Feb. 1 meeting.
