The City’s waste hauler, Waste Management of Orange County, will recycle Christmas trees for two weeks starting Dec. 26.
Simply place your tree – sans decorations and stands – curbside or in green-waste carts on your regularly scheduled trash pick-up day and the waste hauler will pick it up for free. Trees greater than six-feet tall must be cut in half.
Multi-family residents that do not have curbside pick-up service can drop trees off into large bins in the parking lot of the City’s Animal Services Center at 28095 Hillcrest and at the Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park, 22056 Olympiad Road, and Gilleran Park, 24960 Felipe Road, from Dec. 26 through Jan. 9.
Curbside trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day following Christmas and New Year’s Day.
