Three students from Silverado High School were recognized by the Kiwanis Club of Mission Viejo for their outstanding achievements.

The Kiwanis Club honors high school students each quarter for their scholastic, citizenship and community-service accomplishments.

Honored on Nov. 24 were Mads Laugesen, Jessica Fielding and Cassandra Chew.

A senior and member of ASB, Mads excels in math and often serves as a tutor for his classmates. After graduation, he will return to Denmark to enter the Danish navy.

Jessica is a junior and a member of the Silverado High School Honor Roll. She plans to attend Saddleback College for a career as a teacher or nurse.

Cassandra was also called out for excellence in her citizenship. This senior is a member of the Honor Roll and has a perfect attendance record. She plans to attend culinary school.

The Kiwanis Club of Mission Viejo takes pleasure in honoring these successful students and thanks their parents for supporting their dreams and aspirations.

The club meets weekly at Denny’s Restaurant at 24445 Alicia Parkway. New members are welcome. Kiwanis is a global organization dedicated to changing the world one child at a time.

For more information about the Mission Viejo club, call Valerie Maginnis at 949-770-4343 or visit www.mvkiwanis.com.
