With the holiday season in full swing, the Mission Viejo Library is embracing the season with festive programs and visits from Santa.
On Tuesday, the jolly bearded character made two special visits to the library. Thanks to the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, which sponsor this program each year, Santa visited with several hundred children at his annual “storytime” event. The annual visit is one of the library’s most popular events.
Santa told stories and listened to the kids as they expressed their enthusiasm and “wish lists” for the upcoming Christmas holiday.
The holiday spirit lives on at the Mission Viejo Library. On Tuesday, Dec. 15 the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library will sponsor another free program, “Christmas Stories Around the World,” for children that features professional storyteller Rebecca Martin.
The program takes place at 10:30 a.m. in the Friends Community Room at the library located at 100 Civic Center. For more information, call 949-830-7100, extension 5127.
