The public is invited to celebrate our veterans through songs that inspired a nation on Nov. 11.
The Timeless Melodies: Songs That Inspired a Nation Veterans Day Tribute is at 3:30 p.m. in the Sycamore Room at the Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The program follows the City’s Veterans Day program that starts at 2 p.m.
Americans have always honored their sense of national pride. When that greatness is threatened, we call upon the nation’s soldiers to preserve our freedom. This educational music program will pay homage to our Armed Forces through songs such as “Yankee Doodle,” “The Star Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” and “God Bless America,” among others.
Join music historian Larry Maurer in this special tribute to our American soldiers, as we relive the history, music and legendary tales that founded a great nation.
Veterans are free, and general admission is $5 at the door. For more information, call 949-470-3062.
