Community members can have their blood sugar tested for free and learn about Diabetes care on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Registered nurse Cheryl Lowes will conduct the blood sugar screening clinic from 9 a.m. to noon at the community center located at 24932 Veterans Way. The clinic is sponsored by Adult Public Health Nursing Services.
Participants should plan to fast before the test.
The clinic is followed by a 12:30 p.m. presentation about Diabetes and the importance of maintaining a healthy weight. Katherine Manasson, M.D. of Monarch Healthcare will lead the free presentation.
