The City of Mission Viejo will perform asphalt-related repairs to the Jeronimo Openspace Trail starting the week of Sept. 28.
Crews will remove and replace asphalt, repair cracks and add asphalt slurry as part of an effort to extend the life of the trail.
The work will take place on the south side of the Jeronimo creek beginning at the east end of Pavion Park, continuing along Oso Valley Green Belt HOA homes bordering the trail and ending at Silleros Road.
Periodic closures of the Jeronimo Openspace Trail will be necessary to facilitate the maintenance repairs.
The work is expected to be finished by Oct. 28.
