Firefighter events in October meant to help keep residents safe

The public is invited to meet its local firefighters and learn how to protect family and property during two community events in October.

OCFAThe Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) will host its 4th Annual Open House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 3 at 1 Fire Authority Road in Irvine. The daylong event will include a host of activities and demonstrations for all ages.

Visitors will learn how to protect their families and homes through OCFA’s “Ready!, Set!, Go!” program.

Meet Mission Viejo’s local firefighters on Oct. 10 during a special open house that will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire Station 24, located at 25862 Marguerite Parkway.
