Frank Beddor – author of The Looking Glass Wars – will be among the more than two dozen authors, illustrators and entertainers appearing at the Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival Saturday.
Beddor, who heads up Automatic Pictures, is a world champion free-style skier, actor, stuntman, movie producer and author. His series of books, The Looking Glass Wars, Hatter M graphic novels and an illustrated scrapbook detail the story of Princess Alyss of Wonderland.
The Comics, Characters and Creatures event with Beddor is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Palo Verde Room of the Norman P. Murray Community Center.
This free City event, sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Oso Viejo Community Park and Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
In addition to “Bringing Books to Life,” the Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival will serve as a way to support the less fortunate with a food drive to benefit the South County Outreach Food Bank.
