Appearing at the Sept. 12 Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival – among the more than two dozen authors, illustrators, and entertainers – will be author of the popular Pendragon series D.J. MacHale.
Whether he has been writing for television or writing novels, D.J. MacHale’s work has enchanted countless children and young adults. His television work includes the Nickelodeon series Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Tower of Terror for ABC’s Wonderful World of Disney, and the HBO series Encyclopedia Brown, Boy Detective. As a novelist, D.J. has penned The Tale of the Nightly Neighbors, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, and two different series of Pendragon stories; Pendragon – Journal of an Adventure through Time and Space and Pendragon Before the War.
D.J. MacHale will be speaking from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sycamore Room of the Norman P. Murray Community Center.
This free City event, sponsored by the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library, takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Oso Viejo Community Park and Norman P. Murray Community Center.
In addition to “Bringing Books to Life,” the Mission Viejo Readers’ Festival is serving as a way to support those less fortunate, as representatives of the South County Outreach Food Bank will be present to accept donated canned or non-perishable food items.
