FALSE ADVERTISEMENT – We greatly appreciate the City of Mission Viejo for sponsoring this event but there is definitely room for improvement.
I showed up at 7:30 with my 2 cats, only 30 minutes after the event started, and was turned away. Two shelter representatives were approaching cat owners to inform us the “Vet” had ALREADY ran out of vaccines for cats. Question – Having put on this event for years, how does the City of Mission Viejo Animal Services run out of vaccines within 30 minutes and obviously have more than enough for dog owners (line was 50 deep)?
We were told by the shelter representatives to try attending Petco’s Saturday vaccination clinic. Apparently Petco understands how many vaccines are needed to run an efficient vaccination clinic.
Suggestion – Upon realizing they had run out of vaccinations, the City of Animal Services should had reschedulead a vaccination clinic for cat owners for the following week rather than turning away so many residents.
