With the success of the recent Tea at Three Concert, City officials are looking forward to a future command performance from talented young cellists who delighted a crowd of more than 100 with their flair and musical prose.
Thirteen cellists – ages 12 to 18 – treated visitors to a true tea party and enchanted them with their classical accomplishments during the July 25 concert at the Norman P. Murray and Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way.
The cellists performed as part of the Tea at Three concert, which attracts intergenerational audiences and caters to many.
Concert goers enjoyed tea, sandwiches and pastries provided by the Canyon and Saddleback Valley chapters of the National Charity League.
The cellists are taking part in the National Cello Institute’s Advanced Cello Residency held at The Salvation Army Tustin Ranch’s Pioneer School of Music. The advanced students live and study together for three weeks and partake in an intensive schedule of lessons, classes, coachings and performances.
