Dessert aficionados and those craving a red velvet cupcake or a rich cup of java are in for a treat when Baby Cakes Bakery opens today at The Shops at Mission Viejo.
Baby Cakes Bakery, located in the Dining Veranda near Panda Express and Rubio’s Fish Tacos, is a “one-stop” bakery shop specializing in cupcakes, cookies, coffee, event catering and more.
The original Baby Cakes Bakery is nestled in the Aliso Viejo Town Center. Tasty baked goods will be made fresh in the original location and decorated and sold on the second floor of The Shops at Mission Viejo.
Second Lullaby Lounge slated to open in November
The increasing popularity of the Lullaby Lounge among new moms has led to plans for a second lounge located on the top floor of The Shops at Mission Viejo near Macy’s at the north end of the mall.
About four years ago during the holiday season, The Shops opened the Lullaby Lounge on the first floor next to Talbots.
The mall set aside space with comfy chairs and soft lighting so moms can sit and feed their babies in peace. The entryway has a rounded glass-tiled wall leading into a living-room like space with inviting couches and chairs. A flat-screen television shows children’s programming for older tots.
The new Lullaby Lounge is expected to open in November.
I had a Red Velvet Babycake and it was soooo yummy. I could taste every high quality ingredient in the cake and the delicious frosting. Those calories were definitely worth it!
