Pacific Symphony1When the Pacific Symphony Orchestra returns to the Village Green at Oso Viejo Park on Aug. 1, it will feature a musical ensemble respected nationwide for its high performance standards, innovative programming and comprehensive educational programs.

The time-honored event will also feature a cornucopia of tastes, entertainment and more for people of all ages.

Target Symphony in the Cities is a free concert featuring the talented Maestro St. Clair and the Pacific Symphony. With appeal and personality, the symphony projects energy and “Pomp and Pizazz.”

The “Prelude in the Park” kicks off at 4 p.m. with live entertainment, crafts and delectable fare available from local restaurants.  Wineworks will sell box meals; the Mission Viejo Activities Committee will sell wine; Ruby’s Diner will serve up hamburger and hot dog meals; Paradise Perks will offer symphony-goers coffee, tea and scrumptious desserts; and visitors will be able to snack on Kettlecorn.

Children of all ages are invited to participate in the Symphony’s “Musical Playground” activity, which begins at 5:30 pm. The Pacific Symphony Orchestra plays at 7 p.m.

Free transportation to and from the Mission Viejo Civic Center at 200 Civic Center will be available from 3 to 9 p.m.

Pacific symphonyVisitors to the popular outdoor event are encouraged to bring canned or non-perishable food items to benefit the South County Outreach Food Bank.

Bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the festivities on the Village Green.

The event will take place at 24932 Veterans Way.
