As of 9 p.m., power has been restored to the signals and operations are back to normal.

Generators have been setup at the intersections.City representativesspoke with the SCE foreman who informed them that SCE ishalting their work and will have to return at another time to complete the work and restorepower. Generators will be mainainted at the intersectionsuntil power is restored andsignals are restored to full operation.

The traffic signals at Alicia/Jeronimo and Jeronimor/Obrero arecurrently on flashing red and are causing a major back-up in traffic. Southern California Edison was attempting to replace a transformer when the back-up transformer failed and caused complications.
