Don’t miss Second Time Around Jewelry & Accessories Sale
The City’s Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center will host the “Second Time Around Jewelry/Accessories Sale” starting Monday to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life on June 6-7 at Saddleback College.
The fundraiser is possible thanks to the generosity of community members who donated gently used jewelry, purses, scarves, hats and other accessories for a good cause. The items are sold at nominal costs.
Items are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 1-5 and from 5 to 8 p.m. on June 8 at the center, 24932 Veterans Way.

Braille Institute hosts ‘Awareness and Insight’ workshop June 9

Master mechanics from Mission Viejo’s Neighborhood Car Care will share some tips for “pampering” vehicles, and participants will enjoy refreshments and root-beer floats.

Senior Citizens in Action in Orange County
The public is invited to attend the June 12 meeting of the Senior Citizens Advisory Council, a panel that reports to and advises the Orange County Board of Supervisors regarding senior issues.

Operation Baby Love Shower
The Saddleback Valley Assistance League on June 24 will pay homage to individuals who’ve created hand-knitted/crocheted items for needy infants at local hospitals.
The public is invited to attend the event, which will include a display of handcrafted items, along with a complimentary lunch and program. Bring an unwrapped item for a newborn baby or handmade yarn creation.
