The Mission Viejo Library has expanded its walk-in U.S. Passport Acceptance Service – part of an effort designed to offer the public a more convenient, useful service.
As of June 1, 2009, a valid United States passport will be required for all foreign travel by air and sea. A passport is required for land travel to and from Mexico and Canada.
Walk-in Passport Service is now offered Thursday mornings – from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – in addition to the 4 to 8 p.m. regular service.
The public can also take advantage of the walk-in service from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and can make an appointment for the service between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The library also offers passport photo service.
