The Mission Viejo Activities Committee is seeking applicants for its scholarship program, designed to help finance higher education for high school students living in Mission Viejo.
The committee, a group of volunteers dedicated to enhancing community pride, will award five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who will attend a four-year, two-year, or technical/trade school program full time.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on their community service, academic record, potential to succeed, leadership, school participation, work experience and statement of education and career goals. An outside appraisal and personal interview will be conducted.
Interested high school seniors must submit an application and complete high school transcript no later than March 20 to the Mission Viejo Activities Committee at 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
