The Planning and Transportation Commission on Monday selected Peter Bastone, president and CEO of Mission Hospital, to serve as chair and Richard Atkinson to serve as vice chair for 2009.
The 5-member commission acts as an advisory board to the City Council on land use, transportation and other-related matters.
Bastone and Rick Sandzimier were appointed to serve as Design Review Committee members and Andrew Quinio and Richard Schweinberg were selected as Traffic Committee members.
The Planning and Transportation Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Monday of the month in Council Chambers at City Hall, 200 Civic Center.
