TK Burgers restaurant – an award-winning, moderately priced popular eatery – is scheduled to open its 5th Orange County restaurant early March in Mission Viejo.
The restaurant will be housed at the former Kentucky Fried Chicken locale at 24902 Chrisanta Drive. The City gave Owner Jim Kalatschan the green light to add a 300-square-foot outdoor patio dining area to the existing 1,449-square-foot building. The patio will boast a new patio cover, decorative outdoor furniture and pots along with new landscaping to enhance the building and new patio dining area.
TK Burgers began in 1986 as a quaint burger shop in Newport Beach and has expanded with locations in Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa. The eatery, which dubs itself as sort of a “backyard barbeque” restaurant, is a casual, full-service establishment that serves health-consciously prepared sandwiches, salads along with delectable burgers and other specialties.
The restaurant, which is expected to open early March, will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Catering will be available, too.
